On the afternoon of June 24, Chen Jian, Secretary-General and Secretary of the Party Branch of Jiangsu Provincial Association for International Science and Technology Development, led members of the secretariat to hold a salon themed "Fragrance of Tea: Integration of Cultural Heritage and Technology" at a tea house Songsong Yashi.
Inside the teahouse, Curator Chen guided the group on a tour. The antique decorations, exquisite tea sets, and wafting aroma of tea all exuded a strong atmosphere of tea culture. Members of the Association gathered around the tea table, with the tea artist having prepared fine tea leaves and elegant tea sets, heralding the start of a tea art feast.
Curator Chen first gave a detailed introduction to the history and essence of tea culture to the secretariat members, elaborating on every step from tea classification, picking, and production to tea-making techniques. Subsequently, the tea artist demonstrated the tea-making process in person. With skilled and graceful movements, the tea leaves swirled in boiling water, releasing a captivating fragrance that enchanted everyone present.
While savoring the tea, members of the Association engaged in a lively discussion on the integration of technology and culture. Tea is not only a beverage but also a culture and an art. The profoundness of tea culture and the rapid development of science and technology share similarities in that both require continuous learning and exploration. Everyone shared their insights and experiences in technology-driven cultural innovation, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
This activity not only allowed the members to appreciate the beauty of tea art but also made them feel the charm of the coordinated development of science, technology and culture. They all expressed their determination to apply this spirit of integration to practical work and contribute to promoting the integrated development of science, technology and culture. Jiangsu Association for the Promotion of Foreign Science and Technology has always been committed to advancing the integration of science, technology and culture, and this teahouse visit is another initiative to promote cultural exchange and expand technological horizons. Looking ahead, it will join hands with all parties to promote the prosperity and development of science, technology and culture.
