Founded on November 18, 1999, Jiangsu Provincial Association for International Science and Technology Development serves as a window for Jiangsu's foreign scientific and technological cooperation. It is an academic, non-profit, and public welfare social organization with independent legal personality, approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Civil Affairs and directly under the leadership of the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology.

The mission of the Association is to fully promote the advancement of science and technology in Jiangsu Province and the efficient transformation of scientific and technological achievements; actively popularize advanced technologies to promote the close integration of science and technology with the economy; vigorously carry out international non-governmental scientific and technological academic exchanges and cooperation; and strictly abide by national laws, regulations, and social ethics to provide all-round services for economic and social development as well as scientific and technological workers.

At present, the main functions of the Association include promoting the " HOME Program -- Help Our Motherland through Elite Intellectual Resources from Overseas " initiated by the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology and participating in the implementation of the " Science and Technology Innovation Jiangsu" action plan. It gathers top-tier wisdom to lead scientific and technological innovation. Among its current directors and members, there are nearly 200 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and international academies, over 3,000 professionals with professor-level titles, and more than 2,000 overseas doctors and international friends.

With its unique positioning, rich resources, and remarkable work achievements, the Jiangsu Provincial Association for the Promotion of Foreign Science and Technology plays an important role in the field of scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation in Jiangsu Province and even across the country, continuously contributing to promoting scientific and technological progress and economic and social development. In the future, the Association will continue to uphold its mission, innovate its working methods, expand its business areas, and write a more brilliant chapter for Jiangsu's scientific and technological innovation and international cooperation.
